McCormick Growth will depend on M&A
A look at their results isolated from the potential Unilever Food M&A
The fiscal performance of McCormick & Company through the end of 2025 and the start of 2026 reflects resilience amid a complex, often contradictory macroeconomic environment.
As a global leader in flavour, McCormick entered the 2026 fiscal year following a solid 2025 performance that was characterised by a shift towards volume-led growth. This is a critical indicator of brand health in a period where price taking has reached a ceiling across the fast-moving consumer goods sector. Total net sales for the fiscal year 2025 reached 6.84 billion US dollars, reflecting a 1.7 per cent increase on a reported basis and a 1.9 per cent increase on an organic basis compared to the previous year. This growth occurred despite a softer global food industry environment, signifying that McCormick’s core categories remain essential to the consumer pantry even as discretionary spending tightened.
